Calendar Project: September
To create my page for the month of September, I started by inserting images into Photoshop and cropping them together. Each image in the graphic was originally it's own image. Using tools such as the magnetic lasso tool, eraser, and eyedropper tool I was able to put them together. I then used the text tool to add text to the image of the chalkboard. Next, I added that graphic into publisher and added my paragraph over it. To make the bottom part of the page I inserted the calendar template. Next I went into every box and added something special or interesting about that date. After, I added an image behind the cells in the calendar and lowered the contrast of it so the words in the cells were still easily read.
Calendar Project: October
To create my page for the month of October, I started by inserting the images I wanted t o use into Photoshop. I then cut out each image from it's background by using the magnetic lasso tool. Next I layered the images together to form a collage. I used the clone stamp tool to fill in any gaps in the images from when they were removed from their backgrounds. I used the color replacement tool to change the color of the sky in the background from a dark blue to a dark yellow. After layering all the images together I combined the layers so I could create just the one image. I then inserted that into Publisher. Then I added the holidays and moon phases into each cell of the table. Lastly, I added an image behind the bottom of the calendar. To make sure that the words would still be able to be read I adjusted the contrast.
Calendar Project: November
To create the month of November I used methods similar to those I have used in past months. I used tools such as the color replacement tool, clone stamp tool, and magnetic lasso to create the graphic. To create the graphic under the table on the bottom of the page I inserted an image into Photoshop and then after adding a layer on top of it I traced the image. After tracing the image I saved it and inserted it in Publisher.
Calendar Project: December
To create the page for December I started as I have for all the past pages by taking pictures of puppies and, through using the magnetic lasso, removed them from their images and cropping them with each other. I then found a background I liked and put it into Photoshop. I added a layer and then traced over the image. After tracing it I removed the image and printed out the outline.I then colored in the outline using crayons and markers. Next, I scanned the drawing and inserted it into the image with the puppies. Lastly, I put a filter over the entire image so that all of the originally separate images looked like they all came from the same place.
Calendar Project: January
To create my page for January, I started by taking images of dogs and images of some different accessories and Photoshopping them together. I then found an image of a club. I inserted the photo into Photoshop. I added another layer over the photo and then traced the image using the brush tool. Next, I added the images of the dogs on top of the club scene. I then used the magic eraser tool to get rid of the background in an image of confetti. I then put the confetti at the top of the image. Finally, using the type on a path tool in illustrator I created a banner at the top of the image that reads "Happy New Year'. Lastly, after putting the image back into Photoshop, I filtered the entire graphic with the texturizing filter.
Calendar Project: February
To create my page for February. I used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out all of the images i wanted to use from their backgrounds. I then layered the images together to create a collage and merged the layers so that it was one image. The two new tools I taught myself to use were the patch tool and the content aware move tool. I used these tools to fix up some gaps I had in my images. More specially I used these tools to fix the pearls on the necklace, the paw on the one of the dogs, and the back of one of the dogs. Some other tools I used to create this graphic were the clone stamp tool, the magic eraser tool, and the burn tool.
Calendar Project: March
To create the graphic for March, I first used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out all of the images I wanted to use from their backgrounds. I then layered the images together to create a collage and merged the layers so that it was one image. The two new tools that I used were the sponge tool and the dodge tool. I used the sponge tool to add saturation to the seats of the bar stools in the background. I used the dodge tool to brighten up any spots that I wanted to be lighter. I used the dodge tool on the counter, the floor, and on the lights at the top of the image. Some other tools I used to create the graphic include the clone stamp tool, the magic eraser tool and the smudge tool.
Calendar Project: April
To create my page for April, I first used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out all of the images I wanted to use from their backgrounds. I then layered the images together to create a collage and merged the layers so that it was one image. To create the back ground I drew it. Using the brush tools on Photoshop I painted the background of the image. I used the brush that looks like grass to crate the ground and for the sky I layered multiple colors and smudged them together to create the perfect color. To create the rain I used the brush tool again, but I changed the angle and the shape of the brush to make it look more like raindrops. For the clouds I, once again, used the brush tool, and used the brush that looks like a cloud. Another part of this months page that I drew was the yellow raincoat. I used the brush tool to paint the coat. I was sure to use different shades of yellows and whites to give the coat some dimension. Some other tools I used to create this page were the clone stamp tool, magic eraser, and color replacement tool.
Calendar Project: May
To create my page for May, I first used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out all of the images I wanted to use from their backgrounds. I then layered the images together to create a collage and merged the layers so that it was one image. To create the back ground I drew it. I used the brush tools to paint the background in Photoshop. I used the brush that looks like grass to create all of the plants so they have more texture to them. I layered different shades of colors together to create more dimension in the image. Some other tools I used were the magic eraser, the burn tool, and the clone stamp tool.
Calendar Project: June
To create my page for May, I first used the magnetic lasso tool to cut out all of the images I wanted to use from their backgrounds. I then layered the images together to create a collage and merged the layers so that it was one image. For the background of the image I created a soul collage. I found magazine ads and cut out patterns that I liked and put them together to create a scene. I cut out all of the patterns to be in the same diamond shape. I used these patterns to create the sky the dirt and the flower to the right.
